Hall of Fame:
Serperior Simisage Leavanny Maractus Ferrothorn Virizion

Team members:

Serperior
HH Greg lv. 75
male Serperior
Overgrow
Careful nature, good perseverance
Met at level 5 in Nuvema Town
Vine snake named after a YTP. I like him. =) Oh yeah, also, I had to clear the first two gyms in the game with just him, since the next place you could get Grass types was inside Pinwheel Forest.

Simisage
Prunsel lv. 75
nonbinary Simisage (female in-game)
Gluttony
Gentle nature, proud of its power
Met at level 15 in Pinwheel Forest
This one was named after the made-up Undertale character someone dreamed about on Tumblr? I guess "Prunsel" does sound a little bit like it could be an herb or something. Prunsel salad... Prunsel doesn't have a gender, they're just Prunsel. They like to use Acrobatics and hurt things.

Leavanny
Cinnamon lv. 76
female Leavanny
Chlorophyll
Gentle nature, proud of its power
Met at level 14 in Pinwheel Forest
Cute, strong bug. I don't remember much about using Cinnamon specifically, but I always like using Leavanny. They're fast and hit very hard, so if you pick their opponents right, it doesn't really matter that they go down very easily as well.

Maractus
Turnip lv. 75
female Maractus
Water Absorb
Calm nature, mischievous
Met at level 20 in the Desert Resort
Can you believe this was my first time using my favorite Pokémon in-game? Wild!! Big Root Giga Drain into Sucker Punch is a really nice strategy for keeping a slow Pokémon at full HP. I love you, Turnip. ❤️

Ferrothorn
Terabyte lv. 77
female Ferrothorn
Iron Barbs
Hardy nature, a little quick tempered
Met at level 25 in Chargestone Cave
Finally getting a 'mon who wasn't weak to Bug or Flying was such a big relief. Terabyte instantly became such a reliable, beloved team member, who had a really great match-up into most types. Iron Barbs combined with Rocky Helmet was also extremely busted. I had to be careful not to use her so much that she became overleveled in comparison to the rest of my team.

Virizion
Virizion lv. 75
genderless Virizion
Justified
Relaxed nature, hates to lose
Met at level 42 in Pinwheel Forest
I almost never use Legendaries, so using Virizion was really fun, especially since I've always liked its design. It was a nice boost to my team's power without being overwhelmingly strong in a way that trivialized things. I jumped through a bunch of hoops getting enough trades to get a Wide Lens for it for the match against Alder, so it could Stone Edge his Volcarona.

Notable box Pokémon:

Lilligant
Parabola lv. 43
female Lilligant
Own Tempo
Serious nature, likes to thrash about
Met at level 15 in Pinwheel Forest
Parabola was in rotation for a while, but eventually it started to feel like she and Turnip were filling the same role as draining special attackers so she ended up retiring. She was a main teammate for most of the game, though!

Whimsicott
Fluffee lv. 40
female Whimsicott
Prankster
Modest nature, mischievous
Received at level 15 in an in-game trade
I wasn't able to connect to Fluffee as much as the others I caught at the same time as her, maybe because I wasn't able to nickname her myself. In retrospect, Prankster Whimsicott could've been extremely helpful for set up strats, so it's kind of a waste that I didn't use her that way.

Sawsbuck
Parsnip lv. 40
male Sawsbuck
Chlorophyll
Hasty nature, strong willed
Met at level 28 on Route 6
Parsnip's Fighting move coverage was really helpful up until I got to Virizion and got an actual Fighting type. If I remember right, he got to play a big part in the final Gym, so at least he got some spotlight before being replaced.

Amoongus
Polaris lv. 39
female Amoongus
Effect Spore
Bashful nature, often dozes off
Met at level 29 on Route 6
I had some fun with Polaris' Effect Spore, but it wasn't really enough to earn her a permanent team spot. It would be fun to give Amoongus a fairer shot in another playthrough, since I did like using her.
